Zelootma Rom

Hello there! I'm Melon and today, we're going to decompress Zelda OOT Rom for being able to change values in the game.
First, you're going to need some softwares.
You will need a Hex editor for change the values.
I suggest you HxD which is also the one I'll use myself.
You can download it at : http://tinyurl.com/5fxpbl
Next, you're going to need the 1.0 NTSC ROM of OOT.
You can download it at : http://tinyurl.com/q4f8wtw
We're going to decompress the ROM you just downloaded.
This will allow us to change the values inside the ROM.
To do this, download Zdec at this link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/jd8g3lit4c7tcm2/ext.rar
You will need WinRar for open the .rar file.
You can download WinRar at the following address : http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Open the downloaded .rar file with WinRar.
Extract the folder to a place that you will remember. (Like your Desktop)
After that, open Notepad.
Copy this code and paste it in.
Save the file as 'RUN.bat' in the folder you just extracted.
Now, take the Zelda OOT Rom and put it in the extracted folder.
Rename the ROM as : 'ZELOOTROM.z64'
After that, Double Click on 'RUN.bat'
Press 'Y' and then 'Enter' when asked on your keyboard. (Not on your controller :P)
After that, a new file has been created in your extracted folder called : 'ZELOOTROMDEC.z64'
This file is our decompressed Rom. You can try to open it in your favorite emulator and it works! So, i'm not going to tell you how to change values. If you want to, please ask someone else. I'm not good at this :P.
So, thank you for being here and... goodbye!

Oot Master Quest Rom

Ocarina of Time subscreen delay fix codes for all ROMs I think this is so good it's worth making its own thread. Below are cheat codes that you can enter and enable to fix a known issue in Project64 that has been with us since v1.0 - that the subscreen in Zelda OoT takes longer to appear than it should, this being annoying while playing. Okay, open up the full Debug OoT ROM in the hex editor. Copy your entire modified ZOBJ and PASTE WRITE it at free space in the ROM (use 0x35CE040 if you don't know where else) and write down it's ending offset because we need it for the next step. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an action-adventure video game developed by Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development division for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was released in Japan on November 21, 1998; in North America on November 23, 1998; and in Europe on December 11, 1998. Mystic Apprentice rates this game: 5/5. This is without a doubt the best Legend of Zelda, and possibly the best game for the N64, ever made. I had come from playing A Link to the Past before trying out The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and I was amazed. Jun 04, 2011 Search the rom's no-intro name 'Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (USA)' on google (with quotes) and you'll find plenty of downloads. Level 2 Original Poster 1 point 1 year ago.
